Kabay is Sierra Leonean and British and she’s been living in France for five years now. We first met before her relocation to Paris while she was looking for a nursery for her daughter Amina. We had the occasion to talk about it in an open discussion on parenting and expatriation.

Kabay : So, thanks Claudine because in fact, when we first moved to Paris, you were one of the first people that I met and you’re still one of my good friends. So I think part of my journey in Paris and part of my journey as a parent, you know, has been helped a lot by the support that we got from you guys. So yes, I’m more than happy to tell you my perspective on these things (…)

(…) I was quite happy to be able to put my daughter Amina at your creche at the time because when I visited the creche it was just exactly what we were looking for especially coming to a new country and I felt like that would be like a second home for her.

Claudine : Thank you, it has been a second home for her and you’ve been like a family for us since then.

You can watch the whole discussion on Youtube.
